ANSI SAFETY FEATURES

I/C Impact and Compression

Impact testing determines the amount of protection to the toe under various foot pounds of force. Compression testing determines the amount static pressure a steel/composite toe cap can withstand.

Electrical Hazards
Footwear with this symbol is built with nail-free construction using steel or composition toe caps to help insulate you from the ground and retard conduction, but is not to be considered as primary protection against electric shock. Workman meets and exceeds ANSI Z41 standard for EH protective limits.

Static Dissipative
Footwear with this symbol is constructed with materials that when in contact with properly grounded floor surfaces, will discharge any static build up through the shoe to the floor. Workman's testing experience in this area contributed to the SD standard established in section 6 of ANSI Z41.

Conductive
Our products provide extra protection on jobs where static electricity must be minimized. Near explosives, for example, it is essential that any static build up be conducted out of the body through the ground. The materials used were expressly chosen to facilitate grounding of static electricity when in contact with properly conductive floors. To maximize safety, comfort insoles or other types of inserts should not be worn. Keeping the soles and the heels clean is also essential to maintaining proper conductivity. Our products bearing this symbol meet and exceed ANSI Z41 standards.

Puncture Resistant
Reduce the threat of dangers in underfoot with the protection of our stainless steel mid-soles, which reduce the threat of punctures yet are flexible enough for walking. Workman products bearing this symbol meet and exceed ANSI Z 41, section 5 standards.

Metals Guard
This symbol regards the shoes or boots capacity to protect the upper foot (metatarsal bones) and toe area from “drop” hazards. Flexible new materials and engineering combine to create safe and comfortable wear. Workman meets and exceeds ANSI, section 2 standards.

TS-100 (Toe Guard)
Our highly designed toe cap provides added room and maximum protection. Independent testing has proven that the TS-100 withstands over 5000 ibs. of static pressure more than twice the ANSI standard.

Flexi-rib Hidden Metatarsal Guard
Molded of rugged yet flexible materials, the unique rib structure can be “hidden” inside protective footwear without hurting performance or comfort.

Static Dissipative Plus
Static dissipative plus is footwear that test between 1 and 10 megaohms with single density outsole.

Static Dissipative Max
Static dissipative max is footwear that tests between 1 and 10 megaohms, the black dual density outsole rates higher in slip resistance.
